How I use Google for my Blog

I plan many of my blog posts. I don’t usually consider myself someone who plans things in advance, but I am seeing as time goes on, I am more of a planner when I want to be. I wanted to highlight how I plan with some Google tools that help with managing keywords, analytics & so much more!

Google Docs

This is a word program. The important thing about Google Docs is, you can use it across any device because it stays in your google drive. I write my posts in a google doc. This way I can share it with my editor and edit the corrections.

Google Alerts : Keywords

Google Alerts helps you to track the online activity of any search phrases or keywords. You will get notified whenever it obtains any new content that matches your search phrases or keywords that you have set up on Google Alerts. It is good for watching your brand online. Suppose, you set your blog name, like for example, I use Brianna’s Bandwagon as a keyword. So now whenever someone mentions you on the web with your blog name, you get a notification.

Google Analytics :Keywords & Analytics

This is quite possibly the most powerful free analytics tool available, Google Analytics tracks pretty much every bit of traffic you can imagine on your website: where it comes from, which page is receiving it. While it’s not purely for SEO, it’s still a helpful tool to track if you’re getting traffic from organic search.

Gmail : Email

A big part of content creation is getting in touch and staying in touch with a variety of people. Heck, this is super important because my creator interviews are all via email! Gmail has long been my favorite email client, thanks in large part to the built-in functionality. It also is free and it enables me to keep in contact with others.

Google Keyword Planner : Keywords & Analytics

Google’s free Keyword Planner remains one of the best. Even though it’s incredibly simple to use, the more you explore it and perform more searches, the better you’ll understand how to utilize it. With Google Keyword Planner, you can easily dig up related long-tail keywords that will be easier to rank.

Google Search Console : SEO

It gives you a taste of what the most used search engine thinks of your website. You can use it to check & fix technical issues on your website, see important SEO data like clicks, impressions & average ranking position.

Google AdSense : Ads

This is the most influential Ad network on the web and it is owned by Google LLC. You can make money by installing ads on your blog, website, or videos on Youtube. It is one of the main sources of income for many Bloggers & Youtubers.

Google PageSpeed : Insights & Analytics

Speed is also one of the top deciding factors in your reader’s satisfaction. The faster your website loads, the more likely your readers are going to revisit. Google PageSpeed Insights helps you dissect what makes your website load fast or slow.

Google Trends : Keyword Tool

This is a very useful Google tool to compare the popularity of any keyword over a period of time. It helps you to explore the latest trending topics, real-time trending searches, keywords searches over time, etc.
