Interviews

Being myself & Using my Uniqueness: Trina Hannah

I’m super excited to bring another interview post to you. If you remember a couple of months back, I did an interview with Alyshia Hull who is a writer and Youtuber. Today, I am ecstatic to bring another amazing Youtuber on my blog for my interview series, and what is unique about this interview is that it’s very different. It is about a young Youtuber named Trina Hannah! She describes how she stays motivated plus the things she has learned in her short time running a channel.

Meet Trina Hannah!

Tell me about yourself:

My name is Trina Hannah. I am16 years old. I am a dancer and content creator and of course Youtuber. I have always loved to be in front of a camera so I started a YouTube channel!

When did you start doing Youtube?

I started my channel in April of 2020.

How did you come up with your channel name?

It was just my first name and middle name.

What is your favorite video you have uploaded?

I think it would probably be my main character playlist video.

Can you describe/outline your typical day?

My day usually involves creating content in the morning, school in the afternoon, chores, and dancing at night.

What do you do to manage your time? Any specific programs/ apps you recommend?

I make a to-do list every day on my phone. I plan it by time so I stick to it.

What motivates you?

My motivation comes from watching others succeed, and just the small accomplishments.

Where do you get inspiration?

Millie Bobby Brown, Pressley Hosbach, and so many more!

How do you define success?

Success to me is someone who is happy doing what they love and has a community!

Would you consider yourself successful?

I would say so! I love what I do and I do have a community, that is all I could ever ask for!

What’s the biggest factor that has helped you be successful?

I think just being myself and using my uniqueness as an advantage.

What struggles did you encounter in your life and how have they helped you get to where you are now?

Definitely feeling like I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I always felt too old to try something new. I would say that they have helped me now because I have tried so many different things and had different experiences.

Have you ever been teased or made fun of at school because of your channel?

Nope! Thankfully!

What inspired you to start a youtube channel especially at a young age?

I used to pretend I had a YouTube channel since I was 9, and I have always wanted to spread positivity! So it was an easy choice!

What is your goal/dream/vision for your channel?

My goal is to always make people smile!

Advice for people who want to start a youtube channel?

Remember to have fun, and don’t try to copy others. Show your unique personality.

Are you ever scared of putting your videos on the internet?

Sometimes, if it’s something different!

How do you combat this?

I tell myself if I like it, I should post it!

How has starting a youtube channel benefited you?

I’ve made lots of friends. Learned about myself and have had a lot of amazing opportunities.

Have you learned any new skills from youtube? If so, what are they?

Yes, I have! Some of them being editing, filming, and feeling comfortable in front of a camera.

What are your long-term career goals?

I’m not entirely sure! I’m just taking it one step at a time!

What’s the best decision you’ve ever made?

Starting my YouTube channel and Instagram for sure! They are my favorite thing!

Someone you admire and why?

Millie Bobby Brown, she always spreads kindness no matter what. She also never gave up and now she is so successful!

Anything Else?

Thank you for giving me this opportunity!
