My Podcast Launch!

This has been a long overdue post but I wanted to make sure to officially make a post about my podcast launch! Yup, that is right I have a podcast! It is called Brianna’s Bandwagon: The Podcast. (So original am I right?) Anyway, I plan on using it to dive deeper into the millions of life lessons I have learned. As well as helping you achieve your creative ambitions & dreams by learning how to embrace your true self, discovering your inner confidence, and learning how to appreciate the life experiences that make us who we are!

LaunchingI launched the trailer episode on May 26th, 2021, and the first official episode came out on June 2nd, 2021. 

For the summer, I have a job plus an online college course so I am planning on doing an episode each month because pushing out an episode every week does not seem doable.  

Why I made the Podcast

I don’t know why exactly I started a podcast. I guess I figured I needed more platforms to voice my ideas. Sometimes I think I am a little too ambitious with my projects. 

I think part of it had to do with being a guest on The Productiviteens Podcast by Patrycja Wanat that I did a while back. That was my first speaking role on a podcast ever and I think It definitely inspired me to start my own. 

I have to say I have launched a blog, and YouTube channel but launching a podcast gave me a lot of nervousness. When the trailer launched on May 26, I was scared. Truly, I was. I wasn’t sure if it was worth it or if I was wasting my time. Most of all, I didn’t know if anyone would listen to it. 

I launched it anyway, and so far I have had 23 total plays (Anchor analytics) 5 follows on Spotify. 

How I planned for the launch

Thankfully, I did not have to shell out any money for this. I used Anchor for my podcast hosting and I took the Podcast Launch Accelerator course which is a free, 5-hour “how to start a podcast” course created and curated by Mark Asquith, and the team at Rebel Base Media. The course had a workbook to go along with it which was so helpful.

For reference, Asquith is the CEO and co-founder of Rebel Base Media whose journey into podcast technology began in 2013. 

I designed the cover art and made an Instagram page for my podcast plus an email sign-up form. I also ended up adding a new page to my blog specifically for my podcast!
