Gift Guide for Creatives!

Now I know us creatives (bloggers, YouTubers, and of course photographers) ask for pricey things. I mean we would all love a subscription to Adobe CC so we could improve our content. But I will have you know I am not made of money. I also think whoever is getting you gifts isn’t made of money either, plus they also have to buy gifts for others so I will try to keep this list on the inexpensive side.

This post may contain affiliate links, which means that I may receive a commission if you make a purchase using these links.

Bloggers

Blog planner

Now I suppose this can be any planner. I mean that is good and it does the job but there are special blog planners specifically for bloggers or if you are a YouTuber there is a youtube planner here. If you’re me and you’re both, well you may need both.

Blogger shirt

Now I just got to say I love getting T-shirts that describe me or what I like. This shirt says it all. I find it pretty funny.

Wireless mouse

Sometimes it is just easier to use than a mouse pad. It gives you a lot more freedom and arm stretch room. I have the Apple mouse but that is on the pricey side.

World’s Best Blogger Mug

If you don’t know, I am a huge fan of The Office so this mug is perfect for bloggers who also love The Office!

YouTubers

Recording Sign

This would be useful for me as there have been too many times people in my family have interrupted me and my filming because I didn’t have a sign to notify them.

Youtube shirt

This is such an easy way to promote your channel without doing a lot of work!

Youtube Challenge Kits

So of course I had to throw this in here. On youtube, there are challenges that people do. Of course, to do them you need the material. I mean don’t get me wrong, I am sure you could modify it to fit what you had at home but if not, here is a list of the challenges and links. I specifically linked the Bean Boozled challenge. But there are so many others.

Photographers

Photography necklace

Who does not love jewelry especially if it’s camera themed! Okay, but seriously isn’t this the cutest? I have camera earrings for myself and I love wearing them during photo sessions.

The Hikers Camera strap

I am keeping an eye on this camera strap contraption. I think it would be very useful for hiking adventures.

Soft Camera Strap

If you are not going on adventures and mainly using your camera for indoors and flat lay photos,  I recommend looking into a strap other than the one that came with your camera. I thought this was ridiculous at first. My thought was your camera came with a strap so why would you need to get another one if it is in good condition.

Well let me tell you, I received this strap a couple of Christmases ago and I love it. The Canon strap that came with the camera was very scratchy and if I wore it too long, I felt like it rubbed on my neck. But this strap is much softer and much more comfortable.

DSLR Cheat Sheet

So of course, I found these after I made my Christmas list. But if you have a bad memory like me or are just learning photography, these are perfect. They are perfect cards with info on exposure, aperture, depth of field, shutter speed, motion blur, iso, grain, manual mode, troubleshooting, light meter, histogram, how to avoid blurry pictures, how to get good background blur, and how to freeze motion. Guess now people won’t have to sit there wondering which f-stop is bigger, which iso will look etc.

Gift Cards

If all else fails, just give a gift card for photographers. I specifically recommend Shutterfly. You can purchase gift cards through the official website.

Designers

Pantone Postcards

If you don’t know Pantone, the company is best known for its Pantone Matching System, a proprietary color space used in a variety of design industries. These bright postcards will bring a pop of color to the person who is receiving the gift but also to whoever receives the postcard eventually. They are so bright and fun and it just makes me so happy.

Graphic Designer Definition Wall art

As a graphic designer myself, I understand how truly funny this is. It would be the perfect gift for the designer in your life! Because it is the actual truth of how we feel about design sometimes.

Graphic Design Challenge Book

Have you ever struggled to complete a design project on time? Or felt that having a tight deadline stifled your capacity for maximum creativity? If so, then this book is for you.Within Creative Workshop, you’ll find 80 creative challenges

Artists (The ones who draw and paint)

This section is for the traditional artist hence, the title in parantheses.

Sketchbook

This should be a given but any artist would love a sketchbook. We artists go through a lot of these. The particular sketchbook I linked is big, and the pages are thick. I personally like pages with more weight to them so my pages don’t bleed through and so I can use paint on it if I want to.

Gift Cards

Michaels is a craft store so any artist would love this gift card.

Art smock

Seriously though,  this is a must. Plus it has pockets! I like the cream color of it because I think if you paint and get some on your apron it would show up and as time goes on it would look like a cool design.

Content Creators

Content creator shirt

Perfect to broadcast what you love to do! It has a super cute color scheme!

Ring Light

It doesn’t matter what type of creator you are, between youtubers and instagram creators, both would find this gift very useful.

As a creator I get a lot of products to review and post about and I usually try to use natural light when taking photos.  However, with the sunset coming earlier sometimes that is not always the case. So this lightbox is my best friend. I also would recommend this for small business owners who sell jewelry, This is perfect for taking product photos.
